Residents of Forest Hills have available a fine selection of public and private schools. Our local public schools are rated highly by the city based on the performance of their students in standardized testing and our Parents' Associations are actively involved in support of school programs. Public schools are part of the New York City Board of Education.
P.S. 101 also maintains its own web site where information is available about the school, its staff and what is going on. Further information can also be obtained by accessing the P.S. 101 Parent's Association website.
For those who wish to send their child to a private school there are also a number of choices, including The Kew Forest School which provides a program from elementary through high school. This school has been home to Forest Hills residents since the early 1920's.
Within the local community there is also a selection of pre-school and Toddler time programs.
