AJR Choose Forest Hills Stadium As Their Only NYC Tour Stop In 2022

AJR brothers | My favorite music, Boy bands, Concert

AJR are slated to perform at Forest Hills Stadium on the evening of May 21, 2022.

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — The only New York City venue on AJR’s upcoming 2022 tour is Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, the group announced on Sunday.

The indie pop trio’s OK ORCHESTRA Tour will run from April 28 to June 21, with over 25 stops around the country, including one performance on the evening of May 21 in Queens, according to the schedule on their website.

This will be AJR’s first multi-venue tour since 2019, after the group cancelled two tours in 2020 amid the pandemic.

“Due to everything going on, we aren’t able to move forward with the upcoming tours. We’re bummed, but it’s more important to us that you guys are safe,” they Tweeted in May of last year.

The OK ORCHESTRA Tour, named after AJR’s 2021 album by the same name, will feature completely new material, including their highest-ever charting song, “Bang!,” which reached the Billboard Hot 100’s eighth spot in January of this year.

Their stop in New York will be a return home for AJR — a trio of brothers who got their start performing in Washington Square Park and recording music in their New York City apartment, according to ABC News.

Their band name stands for the first initial of each of their names — Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met.

Coincidentally, the day that AJR announced their upcoming tour, mayoral candidate Andrew Yang took to Twitter to admit that the band wrote four of his favorite songs.

Pre-sale tickets for the OK ORCHESTRA Tour at Forest Hills Stadium are currently on sale today through 10 p.m. EST — you just have to text 917-809-7739 for access to the promo code, according to their Instagram — and tickets will open to the general public at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Friday April 16.

We Are Proud To Announce Our Newest Exclusive Property !

19 Groton Street, Forest Hills Gardens,

Queens, NYC

“SPACIOUS STORYBOOK HOME, FULLY RENOVATED”

Rare opportunity to purchase a fully renovated and impeccably maintained family home in the private community of Forest Hills Gardens – 4,520 total sq. feet featuring 6 bedrooms, 4 full baths, 1 half bath and a finished basement. This charming, free-standing, brick home has central air throughout, a wood burning fireplace, a rear garden and a 2-car garage.

The first floor entry, with a beadboard half bath and a coat closet, opens up into a generous living r oom centered around the fireplace with a beautiful, well-lit, built-in bookcases. The kitchen has granite countertops, high-end appliances, a heated floor, and custom-built cabinetry. It has a door to the driveway, allowing for easy unloading after a run to the grocery store. Original wainscoting with decorative plaster trim frames an inviting dining room.

A bright sunroom looks out on the rear garden. The sunroom door provides access to a fabulous blue stone patio for outdoor dining. The garden is private and uniquely generous for a house in the Gardens. The 2-car garage is electrified to support an electric car charger.

The three main floors of the house are connected by a striking bay window staircase. The second floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The main bedroom is tucked away behind a separate hallway. The hallway is flanked by a walk-in closet with lighted hanging rods, on the one side, and a spa-like retreat with a two-person jacuzzi bath, a rain shower, and a heated floor on the other side. Each of the other three bedrooms is well-sized and will happily accommodate family members or serve as a comfortable home office. One of these bedrooms also features a custom-built walk-in closet. The second bathroom has a large glass shower and a heated floor.

The third floor has 2 bedrooms and a full bath. Both bedrooms have multiple windows and ample storage. The full bath features a glass shower and modern tile.

The finished basement adds a bright full fourth floor for play, exercise, and entertainment. It has windows on all sides, which provide plenty of natural light, FLOR tile carpeting, and a separate entrance. There is a pool table area, a media area, and room to exercise, as well as a kitchenette, a laundry room, a full bath and a sauna.

There are few homes in the Gardens with this combination of quality renovation and outdoor space.

Forest Hills Gardens was named a top-10 American cottage community by ‘Cottage Living’ magazine in 2007 and was one of the first, and most successful planned communities in the United States. The West Side Tennis Club, the spiritual and historical home of the US Open and a great place to meet community members, is less than quarter of a mile away. Forest Hills Gardens is a vibrant neighborhood with active volunteer organizations and a great spirit of community.

This home is a short distance to the LIRR in Station Square and E, F, M and R trains at the 71st/Continental subway stop and near dining, shopping and other services in the heart of Forest Hills on Austin Street and Queens Blvd.

Here’s Where NYC Millennials Can Actually Afford To Buy Homes

queens new york real estate

NEW YORK — With home prices in many areas topping $1 million, buying property in New York City can often seem out of reach. But a handful of neighborhoods are havens of affordability for millennials and other first-time home-buyers, a new StreetEasy report says.

The real-estate website identified the city’s 10 best neighborhoods for New Yorkers who are buying their first home. StreetEasy looked for properties that would be affordable to 25-to-44-year-olds making the median annual income of $70,406.

Forest Hills is the friendliest to first-time buyers, StreetEasy found. Some 414 apartments were on the market there in 2018 that fell within the site’s monthly spending range, which topped out at $2,347. That figure accounts for a 20 percent down payment plus taxes, maintenance and common charges, StreetEasy says. Continue Reading ›
