Vintage Subway Trains Will Roll Through Long Island City to Celebrate The Holidays

The Nostalgia Shoppers' Special Train runs on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 2nd Ave., Manhattan to Queens Plaza. The fleet consists of vintage rolling stock that was in service from the 1930s to the 1970s and runs on Sundays through December 30.

 

 

The MTA is celebrating the holidays by allowing riders to take trips on vintage trains that were in service from the 1930s to 1970s.

First ‘Howl-O-Ween Pooch Party’ Planned for Forest Hills Dogs October 23rd!!!

QUEENS — It’s a Howl-o-ween time for Forest Hills pooches.

A group of dog owners is throwing the first ever Howl-O-Ween Pooch Party in the neighborhood to celebrate their pets, the organizers said.

The party will take place on Oct. 23 at the Underbridge Dog Run, at 64th Avenue and Grand Central Parkway Service Road, with a suggested donation of $5 to help beautify the area. Continue Reading ›
